First Up - Google

If you are reading this - for that matter if you are breathing - you've at least heard of Google. So, this is NOT an introduction to Google and the vast array of nifty, neato - I'll say it - cool services they provide. Rather, it seemed fitting to make them the first entry in Consolidated Coolness' Collection.

Glitches and growing pains aside, all-in-all, Google provides an impressive and ever expanding suite of services accessible with one log in, if you choose. Futhermore, most are free; others are inexpensive and some can make YOU money. All qualifying as Cool.

My most recent discoveries in the google goodie bag include:

  1. Google apps which lets you offer email, instant messaging, calendars and more on your own domain for any workgroup or team.
  2. Mobile phone notifications from your online calendar that you can also share with others.
  3. Online documents which includes word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software that seems to be Office compatible. The uber-coolness is that you can share your files and collaborate online.
  4. Grand Central - A FREE service from Google that lets you receive and makes phone calls and post voicemails right on your blog. You can screen calls, and even block unwanted callers all with one number that rings any of your phones and directs all of your messages into one voicemail box. Sign up here.

And there you have it. Four doses - a full day's RDA - of coolosity in a single post. Now aren't you glad you came here for your serving of Cool?
